Rachel is a Certified Canine Esthetician and has been grooming since 2010. She is also Pet Tech and CPR Certified. Her grooming career began at a corporate salon, where she quickly became a salon manager before taking a short break from grooming to manage a boarding facility on the north side of Indianapolis. In 2013, Rachel began grooming locally at a veterinary office, and in 2017 she opened her own home-based grooming studio, Grooming by Rachel, on Mann Road.
As her business grew, so did her dream of creating a salon centered around gentle, low-stress, one-on-one grooming. In early 2020, Rachel and her husband, Kyle, opened Lotus Pet Spa together, and they’ve been building their dream ever since. Kyle can often be found at the front desk greeting clients, sharpening tools, or behind the scenes fixing and improving just about anything around the salon.
After welcoming their son, Hardy, in 2026, Rachel officially retired from grooming to focus on motherhood and managing the business side of Lotus Pet Spa. While she misses grooming and the relationships she built over the years, she absolutely loves watching her team provide exceptional care for the pets that come through our doors.
A little about Rachel…
Rachel is married to Kyle and is a proud mama to Hardy and bonus mom to Heidi. Their home is shared with four dogs that keep life interesting! When she’s not at the salon or chasing after her little ones, Rachel enjoys reading, listening to audiobooks and music, and spending time with her family. She’s also a PC gamer and loves squeezing in a gaming session with Kyle whenever life allows.
Ashley began her grooming journey 9 years ago while working part-time in a grooming salon and attending college for web development. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with the profession, leading her to change career paths and become a full-time groomer about 5 years ago. Ashley especially enjoys satisfying desheds and helping shy or nervous dogs feel safe and comfortable during their grooming appointments.
When she’s not at the salon, Ashley spends her time photographing birds and nature, playing video and tabletop games, reading, and storytelling. A self-proclaimed huge nerd, she shares her home with twin tuxedo cats and loves spending time with her mom’s pack of quirky Shih Tzus.
Colleen, the friendly face of Lotus Pet Spa, is committed to providing a warm and professional experience for both pets and their owners. As a proud Navy veteran with an MBA, she brings dedication, professionalism, and exceptional customer service to her role. As the initial point of contact, Colleen warmly greets and assists clients, ensuring every visit is smooth and enjoyable. Her passion for animals extends beyond her professional life—at home, she takes care of five dogs and three birds. In her free time, she finds solace in reading and cherishing the time she spends with her family.
Antonia brings over 10 years of experience in the grooming industry, working with both dogs and cats of all breeds and temperaments. As a dedicated pet professional, she has a special place in her heart for animals with special needs, caring for several deaf and blind dogs of her own. Beyond grooming, Antonia has a strong background in social work and therapy, holding both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the field. For the past five years, she has worked as a therapist specializing in DCS clients while continuing her passion for pet care. When she’s not at work, Antonia spends all of her free time with her two toddlers. She is also deeply involved in dog rescue and volunteers with her best friend’s rescue, Pink Heart Rescue, specializing in dogs with genetic conditions that cause varying degrees of deafness and blindness. With her compassionate nature and extensive experience, Antonia is dedicated to providing the best care for every pet she works with.
Tiffany has dedicated herself to the grooming industry since 2008, bringing experience, passion, and a gentle touch to every pet she cares for. She has a special place in her heart for senior dogs, ensuring they receive the extra patience and comfort they deserve. Married to her high school sweetheart, Tiffany and her husband have a son and a daughter who keep them busy with their many sports. At home, their family also includes two lovable Boxers and three cats. When she’s not grooming, Tiffany enjoys spending quality time with her family, cheering on her kids at their games, diving into a good book, and tending to her garden and plants.
Receptionist in Training
Hardy joined the Lotus Pet Spa team in February of 2026 and has quickly become everyone’s favorite employee. He’s currently training as our tiniest receptionist and can occasionally be spotted at the front desk with Grandma Colleen, greeting clients with his biggest gummy smiles. His specialties include charming customers, supervising snack breaks, and boosting salon morale. While he hasn’t quite mastered answering the phones yet, we think he’s doing a pretty great job so far. 💚
BLANCHE (aka Kitty) – Chief Mischief Officer
Blanche joined the Lotus Pet Spa team in March 2025, though you’ll rarely hear anyone call her that. Around here, she’s simply “Kitty.” Her favorite activities include begging for snacks, trying to break into the fish tank, squeezing herself into every box that comes through the salon, and making daring escapes into the ceiling whenever our HVAC guy is working. She also enjoys chasing bubbles through the fish tank hoses during cleanings and supervising salon operations from places she’s definitely not supposed to be. She may not contribute much to payroll, but she’s excellent for morale.
